Cogplayer/Live Streaming FAQs

What is CogPlayer?

CogPlayer is a new web platform we are using to put on live streamed shows during the Covid-19 pandemic.

How can I buy tickets to shows that will be streamed from the CogPlayer website?

You can purchase tickets through our website hereor through the CogPlayer you are currently on. Your log in details will be the same for both the Lyceum and the CogPlayer websites.

What if I have never purchased tickets from the Lyceum before?

You will need to create an account using your email address and a password you make up when purchasing your tickets. You can create this account on both the Lyceum website here, and the CogPlayer website by clicking ‘Account’ at the top of the page.

What if I have never purchased tickets online from the Lyceum before, only in person at the box office, or over the phone?

It is likely that there will already be an account under your name in our system. You may need to use the “Forgot Password?” tool on the log in page to set up a password for your account. If you encounter any difficulty, or you’re not sure if you have an account, please email [email protected]  and one of our box office staff will be happy to assist you.

How do I access the streamed show?

Once you have purchased a ticket to one of our streamed performances, you will receive an email with a link to the CogPlayer video page. You will need to click the ‘Watch Stream here’ button on that page, where you will be prompted to log in to your Lyceum account (with the same email address and password as you use on the Lyceum website to book your tickets). After you log in, you will be redirected to the video page. Until you are logged in and have a ticket purchased, you will not be able to view the stream.

If you still cannot access the video page, please email [email protected]

I’ve bought a ticket and clicked the link for the stream video page, but it says I’m not able to watch the show. What do I need to do?

Please make sure that you are logged in to your account, with the email address that was used to purchase the tickets. If you are logged in and still cannot see the video, please email [email protected]

I have never watched a streamed show before, and I would like to watch it on my TV, how do I set it up?

We have prepared a handy document to help viewers get their devices connected to their TVs and watch the stream in the best quality. You can download and read our tips by clicking here.
